Advance Your Career
Ops 400-level courses are the most intense courses offered at Cayman Code Academy. Students come in with various backgrounds and leave with the training and skills they need to excel as cybersecurity professionals. Ops 401 courses require prior experience in IT operations, whether through preceding Cayman Code Academy courses, self-study, or on-the-job training.
Ops 401: Cybersecurity Engineering
Students will learn to perform cyber operations. The first four weeks focus on using information assurance concepts, data security, network security, and threat analysis. During weeks six through nine, students will learn how to analyze source code, inspect malware, scan for vulnerabilities, perform incident response & SIEM operations, and finally plan and execute a full penetration test. Students will gain hands-on cyber ops experience with modern tools and frameworks in this challenging journey into modern cyber ops.
While every day is a little different, students can expect consistency. Half of the day, Monday through Friday, students are in class learning cyber ops through lectures, in-class assignments, and live cyber ops sessions. The other half of the day (or more) is spent in lab time, getting specialized attention from instructors and TAs and honing cyber ops skills—all preparation to land a high-paying job as a cybersecurity analyst or SOC technician. Four Fridays are dedicated to project presentations and our Career Development Curriculum, which prepares students for their job search.
